A Flight Advisory has been issued as a notice of flight restrictions that will be in place for the State of the Union address on Wednesday, 1/27/2010. Due to President Obama's planned State of the Union address in Washington, DC, the FAA at the request of the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense, as part of the airspace security measures will be modifying the Washington Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA) and Washington Metropolitan Flight Restriction Zone (FRZ) procedures with additional flight restrictions during the evening of the 27th.
Model aircraft operations will be prohibited in the SFRA during the time of the event. Specific TFR notices will be published as we get closer to the event and are subject to change with very short notice. Please check back often for the most current NOTAM/TFR information.
